Guide How To Create A Safe Mac OS X System

In this guide, I’d like to give you an understanding of how to build a very safe Mac OS X system. I’m involved in doing this since I’ve installed Mac OS X on my computer for the first time in 2006 and I saved a lot of reinstallations this way. My guide makes a lot of use of the Disk Utility. Unfortunately, this guide won’t work with all Tiger OSx86 distros since 10.4.8, because they use a flawed version of the Disk Utility.

The system is based on two boot partitions and one storage partition, so if one fails you can still boot the other one and repair it from there, without having to boot using the DVD in single user mode. If a partition crashes entirely, thanks to the Disk Utility you can easily restore it without any pain.
